 FAQs

  • Botox Cosmetic is the #1 aesthetic treatment in the US, and over 5 million treatments are performed daily. It has been FDA-approved for cosmetic use for 20 years, making it the most well-studied neurotoxin on the market. We choose Botox Cosmetic because it’s the safest, most reliable option for you.

  • Botox Cosmetic treats the muscle underneath skin lines. A neurotoxin disrupts the signal a nerve gives a correlating muscle. This leads to muscle relaxation, which softens expression lines in the skin. Wrinkles relax because the muscles relax.

  • You will see your results in 10 to 14 days after treatment. After two weeks, your results will plateau.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Results after one Botox treatment usually last approximately 90 days, although individual results vary. Therefore, we recommend returning to the office every three months to maintain your results. Most notably, the duration of your result is dose-dependent. If your treatment is underdosed, your results will fade more quickly.

  • Botox Cosmetic injections are performed with small needles that feel like pinpricks. No anesthesia is required.

  • Come to your appointment with a clean, make-up-free face. Also, avoid alcohol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen for 24 hours before treatment.

  • In general, Botox Cosmetic injections are safe. As with any injection, some mild redness or pinpoint bleeding at the injection site is normal and temporary. In addition, you may experience local bruising or swelling in the area. Infrequent risks include infection, asymmetry, and eyelid or brow drooping.

  • There is no downtime after Botox injections. However, we recommend you remain upright for at least 4 hours after treatment. We also recommend avoiding massages requiring your face to be in a cradle and rigorous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.

  • Botox Cosmetic is FDA-approved for treating forehead lines, crow’s feet lines (on the outside of your eyes), and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.

  • Botox Cosmetic is FDA approved for three areas: (1) Crow’s Feet or the muscle around your eyes (obicularis occuli), (2) “11’s” or the space between your brows also known as the glabellar complex, (3) forehead lines or your frontalis muscle. We have curated one treatment area that isn’t FDA-approved and that is a micro injection in the muscle above your mouth (obicularis oris). This is a safe alternative to lip filler.

  • You’re a great candidate for Botox Cosmetic if you’d like to treat lines in your forehead, around your eyes, or between your brows and you’re in good health. Specifically, you don’t have a skin infection or neuromuscular disease like multiple sclerosis. Furthermore, you aren’t pregnant or allergic to Botox Cosmetic.
